CyrusOne is known for delivering their data centers to the market quickly and in large facilities. For this project they purchased a 130,000 square foot shell building in Sterling, VA in July. The goal was to develop it into a fully redundant data center facility that would satisfy the rapid time to market requirement for customers by having the space ready for deployment by year�s end. Rock Spring was brought on board by HITT contracting to perform the demo and drywall scopes. This consisted of renovating the current shells exterior and roof, the addition of a entry way lobby, and the full interior drywall scope including a Unistrut and Gordon Grid structural ceiling.

Rock Spring Started working on this build late 2023 and is still in the building process. This build consists of 8 Data Halls with Structural Ceilings by Armstrong Dynamax. This is set to be our first install of the Dynamax Structural ceiling system and we are optimistic about it's installation process.

Rock Spring worked hand in hand with the Mortenson team on this data hall fitout in an existing building. We had to modify existing walls using extreme caution and dust control measuresto ensure that active comonents were not disrupted throughout our scope. The limited laydown space required Rock Spring to ensure deliveries were coordinated well with the GC, Suppiers, and other trades to ensure the project ran smoothly.

We performed the retrofit of 2 existing data halls to meet client needs. Upon completion of those two, we built out the remainign 8 data halls as well as the support rooms and client offices to go along with the data halls. The data halls all have 4' x 4' structural ceiling grid with gasketing to reduce air leakage.

Cologix is a 120-megawatt, three-story, 455,000 square foot building. The ASH1 facility is one of the largest single data centers in North America. Our team built out the entire core and shell to include the exterior framing, which supports the metal panels and curtain wall system. There were two Data Hall fitouts where we partnered with Tate to install their structural ceiling and hot aisle contaiinment systems. Additionally, there were three floors worth of Administration fitouts which incorporated some higher end finishes. Specifically Arktura Ceiling and Wall Panels as well as Sounply Ceilings thought the first floor Admin space.

Our scope consisted of core and shell, tenant and owner suites, plus a fitout of two data halls. This was a fast paced project requiring Saturday and Sunday work in order to meet critical deadlines. Our safety practices were highly praised from the DLR and HITT construction teams. In fact, we recieved a site safety award for consistent exemplary performance.

This Project consisted of 5 COLO areas and Administrative offices totaling over 250,000 Square feet. Rock Spring installed Engineered wall framing, Wire mesh partitions and ACT grid throughout the project. This was a fast paced project working 6 days a week and had up to 70 skilled drywall mechanics working to get this project sompleted on time.

Rock Spring is working on 4 different buildings on this campus, 3 of them being data centers and one office building. This build consists of mostly interior office space with challenging walls and wire mesh cages throughout. We installed quite a bit of acoustic wall and ceiling panels in sensitive areas. We work dilligently to ensure that Safety and Quality are our #1 concern as well and keeping the client happy.

Rock Spring was on site from the begining until final completion in this 2-year project that included core and shell construction, offices, ammenity space, 10 data halls, a rooftop GFRC screen wall and a louvered screen wall around the generator yard.

Rock Spring erected the fiberglass reinforced panel screen wall around the 4 generator yards. We also installed the Zahner Imagewall screen at the rooftop equipment platform.

Iron Mountain is situated on an 83-acre highly secured campus. The VA3 facility is a three-story, 390,000 square foot building. Our scope was the core and shell, admin space, as well as one data hall fitout. Total project duration was nine months, however due to trade permit delays our team was required to work days and nights (22 hour shift) 7 days a week for 5 weeks to meet the schedule deadline. Our success was highly recognized and solidified our stance as a top contractor and partner for our clients.
